Safeguarding and Child Protection
Safeguarding and protecting children is the responsibility of everyone within the school. Although designated members want to ensure arrangements are in place and are followed, all school staff and the governing body are aware of their responsibilities and recognize that they are also responsible for safeguarding and protecting children.
At Ysgol Llangybi, the safety and well-being of the children is a priority for everyone. All members of staff have received Level 1 Safeguarding training so they understand their responsibilities to keep children safe.
The designated staff have received Level 2 and above training in order to guide and support the safeguarding process in the school. The whole team – staff, governors and the school community – work together to ensure that all children are protected, respected and able to learn in a safe and caring environment.
